OLé Futsal Club Conquers the FCS National Showcase
LANSING, MI — July 13, 2025
There’s a phrase that echoes through every huddle, every sideline yell, every chant from the OLé faithful: “Latican Style.” It’s more than a tactic. It’s a philosophy. A way of playing and a way of being—joyful, technical, ruthless, and relentlessly team-centered. And this past weekend in Lansing, Michigan, that style was on full display as OLé Futsal Club surged to claim the crown at the inaugural FCS National Showcase, cementing their growing legacy on the national futsal stage.
Fresh off an undefeated season in the Futsal Champions Series, OLé stormed through the summer’s premier futsal event, putting the exclamation mark on a season that has already redefined excellence.
Game 1: Grit First – OLé 3, Midwest United 2
Every great story starts with a test, and Midwest United pushed OLé to the edge in the tournament opener. Despite trailing early, the boys in black and gold found their rhythm. Jair Real, the heartbeat of OLé’s attack, netted twice, while Jonathan Stout added a crucial goal. The win wasn’t pretty—but it was the kind of resilient result that defines champions. Keeper Frankie Mendoza had a quiet match, but the fire in his eyes was already building.
Game 2: Statement Made – OLé 5, Chicago House 4
The group stage clash against Chicago House proved to be an early tournament classic. OLé went blow for blow with one of the Midwest’s most skilled squads. Once again, Jair Real delivered a masterclass, scoring a hat trick with flair and precision. Cesar Martinez and Aaron Gamez added goals of their own, while Coach Fabian Rodriguez made tactical shifts to keep OLé ahead.
Game 3: Brilliance Unleashed – OLé 6, Lansing City 1
By the time OLé faced hosts Lansing City, the engine was running at full speed. The movement was fluid. The chemistry unmistakable. Cesar Alayo and Jair Real each bagged a brace, while Pablo Real and Aaron Gamez continued to shine. Lansing barely saw the ball. “This is Latican Style,” a parent in the stands whispered. Possession with purpose. Defending as a unit. Finishing with flair. A club built on joy and discipline was now surging with confidence.
The Final: Redemption & Glory – OLé 9, Chicago House 2
Redemption stories write themselves when the stars align—and on Sunday night, Frankie Mendoza got his moment.
In a stunning rematch of their group-stage thriller, OLé dismantled Chicago House with tactical brilliance. The team that had edged them by one goal just 24 hours earlier now found themselves overwhelmed, outpaced, and outclassed.
Cesar Martinez exploded with a hat trick. Pablo Real notched two more. Gabe Villagomez, Cesar Alayo, and Aaron Gamez all got in on the act. But the headline moment belonged to Mendoza, who surged forward, found himself with space, and buried the ball in the net. The crowd erupted. His teammates mobbed him. It was more than a goal—it was a symbol of OLé’s philosophy: risk boldly, play freely, and rise together.
Coach Fabian Rodriguez, ever the master tactician, had made crucial adjustments—pressing with different looks, rotating more freely, and trusting the depth of his squad. It paid off with a 9–2 statement win that crowned OLé as undisputed champions.
A Club on a Mission
In just one season in the FCS, OLé has gone undefeated, claimed the regular season title, and now added the National Showcase trophy to its growing collection of silverware.
What started as a vision—a club rooted in family, flair, and fearlessness—has become a movement. From youth development to elite competition, OLé is building something rare: a legacy grounded in values, and a style that’s unmistakable.
Latican Style isn’t just about how OLé plays. It’s about who they are. And with every pass, every goal, and every medal, they’re showing the futsal world exactly what that means.
Vamos OLé. Built Different. Crowned Again.
